WiFi calling keeps failing

I have poor phone signal reception at work so I need wifi calling to work throughout the day when I am in the building. So I enable wifi on the phone and then wifi calling. I have tried "Only for Wi-Fi" & "Preferred Wi-Fi" calling preferences.
Preferred Wi-Fi preference is totally hopeless. So I am now using "only for wi-fi" preference.
Below issue is with "Only for Wi-Fi" preference.
At first, it seems to recognize the connection and connect. But wifi calling fails after a while and the little icon that shows up when wificalling is enabled disappears too. If I try to make a call, I get a message stating "Connect to a wireless network to make a call". I can confirm I am connected to wifi because I can still browse, get emails, send whatsapp messages etc everything through that same wifi. There were a couple of days where wi-fi calling didn't get enabled all day. I tried restarting the phone twice or thrice with no luck.
